If you used to use Microsoft Publisher or Access on your computer and you switched to a Mac, or you switched to a computer with Microsoft Office Home and Student or Home and Business that do not include these two programs, you may be stumped on how to open them.
Microsoft Office Publisher and Access only available for PCs
Microsoft Access has only been available for the PC, and only if you had the Professional version of Microsoft Office installed.
Microsoft Publisher is an odd one, where it was only available in Professional and Business versions until 2010 when it was released in all versions, then back to Professional and Business editions since.
Since then, both have also been available in Office 365 versions on the PC.

Working with Access files
You can work with Access database files using Microsoft Query on a Mac, but you cannot Add/Edit or Delete records.
You can also import Access databases into Excel using the Data ribbon.
